Now days, we all are leading a life full of frustrations, demands, luxuries which contributes the causes of our stress. Just to fulfill our goals, we take pressure which may sometimes give stress. What is Stress?

Stress, is a normal physical response to events that make you feel threatened or upset your balance in some way. When people feel stressed by something going on around them, their bodies react by releasing chemicals into the blood. These chemicals give people more energy and strength, which can be a good thing if their stress is caused by physical danger. But it may be a bad thing, if stress is in response to something emotional.

How it is Caused?

Stress are caused due to following reasons:

  •  Illness
  •  Family problems
  •  Financial matters
  •  Bereavement
  •  Lack of time
  •  Job issues
  •  Moving home
  •  Relationships

To overcome this stress, many of us use different strategies like:

  •  Smoking
  •  Drinking alcohol
  •  Overeating or under eating
  •  Spending hours in front of TV or computer
  •  Withdrawing from friends, family and activities
  •  Sleeping too much
  •  Using pills or drugs to relax
  •  Taking out your stress on others (lashing out, angry outbursts, physical violence)

But here, are some of the guidelines which may help:

  •  Start your day with yoga or medication as it is one of the simple techniques of quieting the mind and relaxing the body.
  •  During your work, keep changing your position or take a quick walk around the office. You should also drink some water.
  •  Also walking 20 minutes per day may change your body chemistry in a way that calms the nervous system and reduces stress levels. Aerobic exercise is especially good in coping up stress.
  •  Make some dietary changes like you may reduce sugar, carbohydrates, caffeine and alcohol in your diet.
  •  Taking a daily multi-vitamin, mineral supplement and B-vitamin supplement can strengthen your nervous system and may help you to reduce the stress.
  •  You may also take a cup of herbal tea at night. Create a bedtime ritual of drinking chamomile tea to relax. Or try an herbal liquid tincture sleep formula containing chamomile.
By adopting the above guidelines one can easily cope up from stress. They could be instrumental in giving him much relief.
