Ways to Get Pregnant

To plan a family or to get pregnant is the most common concern between the couples. Many women get pregnant easily while some face difficulties in conceiving. There are many factors which affect the fertility and conception.

Following are the ways which can help you to get pregnant:

Stop the intake of contraceptives and consult a gynecologist. Many birth control methods make it difficult to conceive for many months even after you stop using them.

Have an intercourse around the time of ovulation. To know about your ovulation time you can also use the ovulation kits or your gynecologist can also guide you to know about your ovulation period.

Have intercourse before the ovulation not after it. Egg will survive only for 24 hours after the ovulation and sperms can live upto 3-5 days. That is why having intercourse three days before the ovulation increase the chance of getting pregnant.

After the intercourse lie on the bed for atleast 5 minutes on your back this will increase the chances of sperm entering your cervix and fallopian tubes and don’t go to the washroom immediately after the intercourse.

When you are trying to conceive stop smoking or drinking alcohol. These things can affect your fertility and you should also tell your husband to stop these things. Smoking and Alcohol intake can also affect the sperm count.

Female orgasm also help to pull sperms into the cervix so try to achieve the orgasm after your partner ejaculates in you. Some researchers believe that having an orgasm during intercourse can increase your chance to get pregnant. In women the spasmic movements of the orgasm will help to pull the sperms into the uterus and in the men orgasm increases the sperm count.

Have intercourse where the man is on the top position; also try to place a pillow under your hips as this will keep the sperm deep inside you.

Keep a check on your weight, too much or too less weight can also cause difficulties to conceive. Inappropriate weight can cause hormonal disturbances and which can disturbs the ovulation and hence can be the reason for conception problems.

If you are suffering from a health ailment then try to resolve it first with the help of a qualified physician. Some conditions like PCOD can also cause problems in conceiving.

Some studies even recommend to take the Mediterranean diet to conceive. A diet rich in monounsaturated fats, olive oil, peanuts, almonds and cashews can triple the chances of success in resorting the fertility in women. However the intake of saturated fats should be avoided as they damage the women’s fertility.

Start the intake of prenatal vitamins like iron and folic acid and also increase the intake of these nutrients from the dietary sources and also encourage your partner to eat the foods which promote the sperm health. Men should also take a healthy and well balanced diet.

Benefits of Yoga in Daily Life

Yoga, an eternal feeling of happiness, relaxation and energetic. These three words describe it completely. The word Yoga means "union" in Sanskrit, the language of ancient India where yoga originated. We can think of the union occurring between the mind, body and spirit. What is commonly referred to as "yoga" can be more accurately described by the Sanskrit word asana, which refers to the practice of physical postures or poses.  Yoga Asana is only one of the eight "limbs" of yoga, the majority of which are more concerned with mental and spiritual well being than physical activity.

Why Should One Do Yoga?

Yoga is Very Important for Health. Some of The Beneficial Effects of Yoga are:

Better Breathing:

Most of us breathe very shallowly into the lungs and don't give much thought to how we breathe. Yoga breathing exercises, called Pranayama, emphasis the attention on the breath and teach us how to better use our lungs, which benefits the entire body. There are other types of breath which can also help to clear the nasal passages and even calm the central nervous system, which has both physical and mental benefits.

Mental Calmness:

Yoga asana practice is intensely physical. Concentrating so intently on what your body is doing has the effect of bringing a calmness to the mind. Yoga also introduces you to meditation techniques, such as watching how you breathe and disengagement from your thoughts, which help calm the mind.

Stress Reduction:

Physical activity is good for relieving stress, and this is particularly true of yoga. Because of the concentration required, your daily troubles, both large and small, seem to melt away during the time you are doing yoga. This provides a much-needed break from your stressors, as well as helping put things into perspective. The emphasis yoga places on being in the moment can also help relieve stress, as you learn not to dwell on past events or anticipate the future. You will leave a yoga class feeling less stressed than when you started.

Body Awareness:

Doing yoga will give you an increased awareness of your own body. You are often called upon to make small, subtle movements to improve your alignment. Over time, this will increase your level of comfort in your own body. This can lead to improved posture and greater self-confidence.

Once you start the daily practice you will ever remain arogya with yoga. Daily practice of Yoga will not only improve your physical health but will also add its benefit to the mental health. Therefore one must start the practice at earliest possible time to enjoy the fruitful outcome.
